Kingdom Stories

Jesus he did not lecture about the kingdom of God. He told stories about it. A farmer scattering seed. A traveler was left for dead on a dangerous road. A son who demanded his inheritance and squandered it. Workers hired at the last hour were paid the same as those who came first. A widow who would not stop knocking.

These are not illustrations. They are invitations to see the world in a way that turns most of our assumptions on their heads. The kingdom Jesus described runs on generosity rather than merit, on welcome rather than scorekeeping, on persistence rather than despair. It grows in unlikely soil. It crosses the road when most people would not. It throws a party for those we thought were too far gone.

This series is an invitation to let the stories do what Jesus intended: disrupt the way we think, soften the places in us that have gone hard, and send us back into the world a little more like the kingdom we have been hearing about.
